I had the privilege of seeing The Oh Hellos perform live at Canalside this summer. Personally, out of all the concerts I went to, I would have to say this was my favorite group to see live (You too Sara Bareilles! Who in Lewiston could forget your performance? #DoubleRainbow). Each band member spoke to the audience and they genuinely seemed happy to be playing in Buffalo, NY. Their energy immediately drew the audience in and had everyone clapping, singing, and dancing within minutes of walking onto stage. You could tell they were having so much fun playing together. I wanted to be up there. Even just to play the tambourine. It was a beautiful night for an outdoor concert and I look forward to seeing them play in a more intimate setting.
The Temptations “I Wish It Would Rain”
The Temptations never need an introduction.

The Legion of Doom “Boulevard of Broken Songs”
Going for a run today? Or maybe you just need a new car jam. Throw on this awesome mash-up of Oasis’, “Wonderwall” and Green Day’s, “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.” If you like either of those two songs, I know you’ll love this. I really like how they end the song with Aerosmith’s, “Dream On.” Well done!

Van Morrison “Sweet Thing”
This has to be one of my favorite, if not favorite, Van Morrison song.
The Black Angels “Young Men Dead”
This is a great rock song that sounds a little like Led Zeppelin’s, “When the Levee Breaks.” Big thanks to Nick D. for introducing me to this song!
First Aid Kit “My Silver Lining”
This has to be the best song on First Aid Kit’s new album, “Stay Gold.”
Moby Plays Canalside Tonight
Moby is one of my favorite artists and in honor of him playing at Canalside tonight, I thought I’d put together a little playlist for you to enjoy. I’ve read that Moby doesn’t enjoy tour life (and who could blame him?) so make sure you get downtown tonight because I’m guessing that his DJ appearances will be limited in the future. See you there!
